The Submission Deadline for the Spring 2008 edition of the Columbia East Asia Review ended on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 11:59 PM EST. In CEAR's first year, the Call for Papers was distributed to undergraduate institutions around the world. The number of quality and volume of submissions far exceeded the expectations of the Editorial Board. Authors were notified of the selection decision on February 4, 2008.
A total of six articles and two research accounts were selected for publication in the the Spring 2008 edition of the Columbia East Asia Review, which launched online on Friday, April 18, 2008. A limited print version of CEAR will be distributed to authors, universities, and institutes in May 2008. Please check our website in May for more information about purchasing a print copy. The author of the 2008 Edition's Feature Article, Oda Fiskum from the University of London, received the Best Article Prize of $200.
The Editorial Board of the Columbia East Asia Review would like to thank all authors for the privilege of reviewing their articles and for supporting the mission to promote research and foster idea exchange in the field of East Asian studies.
