Thank you for your interest in submitting to CEAR. The submission deadline for Volume 3 (Spring 2010) is Sunday, January 24, 2010. In order to be considered for publication, submissions must comply with CEAR's Eligibility & Guidelines. After reviewing Eligibility & Guidelines and the information below, please click "submit" above for further instructions.
Submissions must be original research articles relating to East Asia and/or Southeast Asia. The countries of East Asia, as defined by CEAR, are China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Macao, Mongolia, Taiwan, Tibet, and Vietnam. The countries of Southeast Asia include the following: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Timor-Leste. Articles addressing inter-regional issues between East/Southeast Asian and non-East Asian countries will also be considered. Research articles in any academic discipline will be considered.
There is no absolute length requirement; however, published articles are typically 15 to 40 double-spaced pages long when submitted. Papers selected for publication undergo an intensive peer review and editing process, which involves significant communication between the Editorial Board and the author. Work previously written for classroom or individual use is welcomed.
